| Since installing the 3.0 update, I no
longer have the EDIT tab on my screen. Why did they remove this useful
feature? It's not gone, but the rules have changed slightly. In previous versions, there were two distinct modes of embroidery operation: Embroidery mode (with the Hoop over the Sewing Machine icon) and PC Link mode (with the Computer over the Sewing Machine icon). Embroidery could be done from either mode, with EDIT capability in either mode. With version 3.0, you can still select a design for stitching from PC Link mode, but none of the tabs on the bottom of the screen will be visible. To have full EDIT capability, change to Embroidery mode before opening the design for stitching. All designs are available in both modes, so it's best to get in the habit of using PC Link mode only for transferring designs and Embroidery mode for stitching. Note: It's not clear whether this is an intended feature or a bug. This behavior may change at some point in the future. |
