| I am trying to update my 10000 using
the USB cable. There is no problem sending designs, so I know the
cable works and the drivers are installed. But when I try to do an
update, the screen turns white, the machine beeps and "Error!" appears
on the screen. What should I do? The usual cause of this problem is having a PC Card in the machine when the update process is started. When the machine is powered up in update mode (Needle Up/Down and Lock buttons depressed), it first checks the card slot. If a card is found, it is assumed that the update is being done by card, but if the card does not have the expected update information on it, an error is displayed. To solve the problem, simply remove the card and try the update again. |
