I've heard that magnets can damage a computer sewing machine. Should I
avoid having magnets near my 10000? The problem with magnets is that some sewing machines use magnetic switches that can be fooled by exterior magnets. This is not the case with the MC10000, which uses optical switches and sensors. Magnets will have no effect when placed on or near your machine. Magnetic pin cushions are fine, as are magnetic pin strips, magnetic seam guides and any other magnetic device that you might want to use. |
