Every time I open
Digitizer EasyDesign, it crashes. What should I do?
Digitizer auto-saves your work periodically while you
work. Once in a while, a design can get corrupted while working on it.
This is more common with inexperienced digitizers who may do things in
an illogical way because they don't know any other. When Digitizer
crashes from the corrupted design, and is restarted, the first thing
it tries to do is re-open the last auto-saved design. Since that's
what caused the crash, it crashes again. Here's how to correct the
problem:
-
Click Start -> Run.
-
In the Open box type the following:
C:\Digitizer 10000\BIN\purrec.exe
(Note - if you have installed Digitizer to a different location,
type that location in the above line, before the BIN part.
-
Click the OK button.
-
The following dialog will open:
-
Click the OK button to purge the
Recover folder of auto-saved files. If you want to also
remove the backup files, check that option. However this is not
advised, because one of those files may help you recover some of
your work.
-
EasyDesign should now open without
crashing. If it still crashes, you have other problems, such as
hardware trouble, conflicts with existing software (especially
Video drivers) or insufficient memory or resources. Restart your
computer and try again.
