What is the proper method of placing fabric in
the hoop?
This is the procedure recommended by Lindee Goodall, owner of
Cactus Punch Embroidery
Digitizing.
- Loosen the screw a lot so the ring of the hoop can be
pushed onto the fabric & stabilizer without using force. If it
doesn't almost fall in, loosen it some more.
- Tighten the screw by hand until it is firmly tightened. DO
NOT use a screwdriver, even though there is a slot in the head
of the screw! It's there to assist you in loosening the hoop if it's
too tight to loosen by hand.
- Pop out the ring of the hoop, and the fabric. Line up, using the
Clothsetter if necessary, and push the ring and fabric firmly back
into the hoop. Do not push the inner ring down too far!
When properly inserted, the two rings should be flush on the top
side of the hoop.
